Daikin is a Japanese manufacturer of air conditioning and heating technology and sells its heating units under the Altherma name. The Swiss lineup ranges from air-to-water heat pumps to geothermal units. The Altherma 3 M is a monobloc unit running on the R32 refrigerant that needs no separate indoor unit and is installed directly outside. The Altherma 3 R is the split version, also using R32. For ground source heating there is the Altherma 3 GEO, a brine-to-water unit. Daikin also offers high-temperature models suited to renovation projects.
