Viessmann was founded in 1917 as a heating technology manufacturer and has a plant in Allendorf an der Eder in Germany. Since January 2024 its air conditioning business has belonged to the Carrier group. Its heat pumps run under the Vitocal name, with models for new builds and renovations such as the Vitocal 250-A. Alongside heat pumps, the lineup includes photovoltaics, solar thermal systems, wood, gas and oil heating systems, as well as ventilation systems.
In Switzerland, Viessmann operates branches and works through a partner installer finder with local installers. Customers can request a rough quote. The website is available in German, French and Italian.
