NIBE is a Swedish maker with a broad heat pump lineup and a strong presence in Switzerland. The F2040 model is designed as an outdoor unit for air-to-water systems and can be linked to a boiler through the SMO control module, which then serves as backup during cold snaps.
The NIBE control system offers an app connection and fits into a smart home setup. In hybrid mode, the system automatically switches to the boiler once the heat pump's COP drops below a set threshold. In Switzerland, NIBE products are available through authorized partners.
