Gebäudethermografie Schweiz

An infrared camera makes visible where an older building is losing heat: leaky attics, uninsulated basement ceilings or poorly sealed window frames show up as bright patches in the thermal image. This is useful groundwork before planning a heat pump, because the heating load drops noticeably after a renovation.

The Swiss Association for Technical Inspections (SVTI) lists certified thermographers. A thermal scan costs a few hundred francs depending on the size of the building and can be subsidized by the canton as a standalone measure. The results feed directly into a heating load calculation used to size the heat pump.
