Hoval Wärmepumpe für Altbauten

Tap a star to rate

A common objection to heat pumps in older buildings is the flow temperature they need: radiators from the 1970s and 1980s were designed for 70 to 80 degrees. Hoval addresses this with high-temperature heat pumps that still reach flow temperatures of 60 to 65 degrees even at low outdoor temperatures.

In practice this means most existing radiators can keep being used if the house is reasonably well insulated. Hoval recommends a heating load calculation before installation to check whether individual radiators need to be upsized. The Swiss branch supports planners with sizing tools and technical consultations.
