NIBE's hot water heat pumps work on the same principle as heating heat pumps, but are designed exclusively for domestic hot water heating. The unit extracts heat from the surrounding air and transfers it to the water. Energy efficiency runs roughly three times higher than an electric resistance water heater.
NIBE hot water pumps are available as compact units with an integrated tank and can also run alongside a heating heat pump or a solar system. In Switzerland the units are available and installable through NIBE partners. Thanks to modern compressor technology, operating noise stays comfortable even indoors.
