Klimafonds Kanton Zürich

In the canton of Zurich, heating replacement projects are supported through the funding program run by the Amt für Abfall, Wasser, Energie und Luft (AWEL), the cantonal office for waste, water, energy and air. The funding covers air-to-water, brine-to-water and water-to-water heat pumps in existing buildings. The contribution amount is based on the thermal heating output in kilowatts.

Applications must be filed before installation, and the system can only go into operation once confirmation has arrived. All fact sheets and application forms are available on the cantonal website. Larger buildings above a certain energy demand fall under their own funding tiers.
