Schmid Energy Solutions

Schmid Energy builds large heat pumps for multi-family buildings, commercial properties, industry, and public buildings, for both new construction and renovation. The range spans air-to-water, brine-to-water, and water-to-water units, covering an output range of roughly 60 to 3200 kW depending on the design. High-temperature models are available for high flow temperatures, reaching up to 120°C. The units mainly run on natural refrigerants such as propane and isobutane.

The systems also suit local and district heating networks, where Schmid acts as a system integrator. Bivalent setups are also possible, where a biomass boiler complements the heat pump: in summer the heat pump covers demand using ambient heat, while in winter the boiler takes over the peak load. This reduces the required electrical connection capacity compared with a purely electric solution.
