Polysun is software for simulating and sizing thermal solar systems, heat pumps, photovoltaics and storage systems. Energy planners use it to work out the ideal system size and to simulate how solar power production and heat pump demand interact.
The software can model anything from simple single-family home systems to large multi-family projects with seasonal storage. Vela Solaris sells Polysun through licenses to planning offices, universities and installers. The company is based in Winterthur and works with various cantons and universities.
